This list is weak, but it is still a very good one i wish all the factions would have the same weapons, or at least raven have more. I mean they are suppose to be the most advanced in tech, so... yea. all in all MAG is way better than MW2 becuase i've seen it in action and its really, truthly no better than Killzone 2. MAG is going to be amazing i cant wait to see what its like to have 4 platoons fighting alongside each other. the beta's nasty for those of you who dont have it spend the 5 bucks and preorder it at gamestop..... well worth it. i also cant wait to get a serious clan together to fill an entire game and smash some heads together. i'll second that 'Big Epic Fail' award to the moron. do you have a better gun list sir? if so post it if not sit back down.

I can almost garuntee that they will have the EMR (USMC Enhanced Marksman Rifle) which is an upgraded M14, or some kind of M14 variant at the very least. I say this because we see the EBR (enhanced battle rifle), which is a close quarters version of the M14 so if they follow COD4 then they will also have the sniper version of the M14. :O Can't wait!

COD4 M14 Varaints:
Mk. 14 (assualt rifle)
Mk. 21 (sniper rifle)

MW2 M14 Variants:
Mk. 14 EBR (assault rifle)
Mk. 14 EMR (sniper rifle???)

It's confusing that they used the M14 and M21 in COD4 because they are US Army designations. The USMC (which is who the games follow) use Mk. 14 EBR and Mk. 14 EMR (formerly DMR)

Someone said the R700 is out... I doubt this aswell. If the makers of this game have any sense of realism at at then we are garunteed to see the return of a good old fashioned tried-and-true bolt action rifle, still considered to be the premier in accuracy. The R700 variants are still the standard in precision sniping.

Oh and if you think the beloved .50 cal is gone then you are gonna be in for a surprise on Nov. 10th.

What an idiot is all I have to say from the start. When someone tries to dis a post they should have their facts straight. I don't even have to read the post to know that your comment is wrong. A G3A3 doesn't have to be called a MSG-90 like you say it does and can very well come with a 20 round magazine. Also the XM500 can very well be a bolt action not to mention the fact that this game is based not in present time. So I'd say whoever wrote that shit can get a Big Epic Fail because MAG is a bad ass game.

I agree whole-heartedly Brutal Legend certainly deserves more than an 83% composite score.

To my mind the online multi-player helps to make up for the brief, but totally amazing campaign. It runs smoothly and is amazingly fun with friends. As to whether or not it's a RTS... it seems like a moot point as it is fun. Something a lot of games aren't.

Nice review but i'd like to mention that the point lookout add on gets really really buggy around when you see the mother punga plant on the ps3, so much so that ive given up on it and gone back to the main waste land. it just freezes every time i get within a certain distance to the mansion and i'm not the only one, lots of people have experienced exactly the same problem as me. i'm a bit annoyed really and am waiting for a patch before i can continue. ive not had any problems with any of the other add on's.

I've had the beta for a week and think it's great. But like all fps the maps will get old quick and players drop. Also haveing 4 squads on one team: your squad dominates and three other squads fail then you've lost. There's no way to know till the end.

Yep, if you like FPS's, then it'll be fun for you. However, there is more of an emphasis on teamwork and objective-based gameplay in MAG, which is not often a feature in other FPS series, so that might sway enjoyment depending on your playing style and tastes.

@Anon It's both, and please, allow me to explain. Although the size of battles is new, and is what drives the hype and the attention behind MAG, the game itself does nothing new to extend the FPS genre.

The maps might be huge and the number of players on a scale not possible before, but in terms of gameplay - the actual mechanics of an FPS - there's nothing which can be classed as new. It's pretty much a normal FPS, with all the normal FPS features, but with many more players per match.

I'm confused...you say that the size of the battles will be insane and that teamwork is absolutely essential to victory. Requiring teamwork on such a vast scale is what drives all of the hype this game, and would certainly qualify as revolutionary. It sounds like it is achieving that from your description.

But then you say it does nothing new, which seems completely contradictory to the previous comments.
