The weapons list is looking pretty good too, with a well-rounded roster of weapons which allow for all sorts of different playing styles. The weapons for each team also seem to reflect their individual characteristics, which should be good.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how the MP7A1 is going to turn out. We'll have to wait and see how the weapons actually feel when the controller is in-hand when the game is released in January 2010.

sounds fine and dandy... but wait. You'll see that having more people in a match will lead to frustration and confusion when it comes to team tatics. It'll most likely play like a more chaotic version of warhawk... Team killers will have a blast and server lag will play a big part in the experience.

MW2 comes out sooner and it'll be more worth the money and time but thats my own personal opinion.
You on the other hand... have fun.

their are shotguns, I'm in the private beta and have yet to run into lag or team killers. It does get chaotic but thats part of the fun. This game rocks

Then go play your COD. Which is so much lower scale than MAG. How so? Let's see, smaller maps, smaller amount of player's ( like 14 times smaller, very repetitive game play, very repetitive ranking to gain the same old perks and generic weapons. Then talk about lag? Buddy, COD is just that even with it vast smaller amount of user's pre game ( hello ground war or bog map ). Then have fun with all the hackers and modded controller freaks. Player's have a choice now and COD is not all that.
If its your opinion, why do you declare it like its a fact? "Don't feed on lies", but have you dipped into the game? I'm guessing no. Is the game still in beta testing? Yes, so don't count your lagging chickens until your network code eggs have hatched.
I really mean no offense, but if all developers thought with your "that would be cool, but it sounds hard\It probably won't work, so why try?\Let's settle for something we've already done before and give it a facelift" mentality then I would quit gaming. I like evolution. I like change. And I'm willing to support those who give it their best shot to make something new and difficult work. That's not to say I'm anti COD, I'll buy that too most likely. I WILL however be horribly disappointed if MAG turns out trash.

DID YOU EVEN SEE THE MAG VIDEO? THEY HAVE THE BEST COMMUNICATION FOR OTHER PLAYERS WITHOUT THE NEED OF HEADSETS, I DONT THINK THERE WOULD BE LAG, THEY WORKED ON LAG FIRST BEFORE THEY MADE A BRICK OF WALL IN THE GAME! GO PLAY YOUR COD BECUASE THE GUY ABOVE ME DID A VERY GOOD JOB PWNING YOU

MAG is sick, so is cod (only if they get character customization) but overall MAG>MW2

This list is very wrong and was compiled by a complete moron that knows nothing about weapons prior to the private beta. XM500 a bolt action? Fail. The G3A3 should be an MSG-90 and it uses 10 round mags not 20... another fail. Who knows what else is inaccurate to what's in the game. I'm surprised somebody posted this pathetic attempt of a gun list here and thought it would even be remotely correct.

playing the beta and omg soooooo much better than COD, and ive been a fan of COD for a long time, money is tight so i cant really afford both right now, preorded MAG, COD can wait till it hits the used racks
What an idiot is all I have to say from the start. When someone tries to dis a post they should have their facts straight. I don't even have to read the post to know that your comment is wrong. A G3A3 doesn't have to be called a MSG-90 like you say it does and can very well come with a 20 round magazine. Also the XM500 can very well be a bolt action not to mention the fact that this game is based not in present time. So I'd say whoever wrote that shit can get a Big Epic Fail because MAG is a bad ass game.
i cant wait for all those MW2 players to switch over. they'll see the light soon enough. MAG is going to be amazing i cant wait to see what its like to have 4 platoons fighting alongside each other. the beta's nasty for those of you who dont have it spend the 5 bucks and preorder it at gamestop..... well worth it. i also cant wait to get a serious clan together to fill an entire game and smash some heads together. i'll second that 'Big Epic Fail' award to the moron. do you have a better gun list sir? if so post it if not sit back down.
This list is weak, but it is still a very good one i wish all the factions would have the same weapons, or at least raven have more. I mean they are suppose to be the most advanced in tech, so... yea. all in all MAG is way better than MW2 becuase i've seen it in action and its really, truthly no better than Killzone 2. So I agree MAG>MW2
